This place recently moved and it's better than ever. Honestly I have only ever been here for breakfast, but the lunch menu looks just as good. For breakfast, the coffee is great and there are a lot of options for breakfast sandwiches on local bagels. They let me sub wraps for bagels without an issue. On our last visit, my kids ordered everything bagels and it turned out they were out of them. Not a big deal to substitute another option, but the staff felt badly about it and gave the kids a free muffin of their choosing. There's a really nice patio out back (though watch out for bees if you're allergic) and dogs are welcome -- they even brought out a water bowl for ours. Lots of people seem to come and camp out to get work done in the morning before heading to the beach in the afternoon. Highly recommend.
Nice place, cool vibe. We came at an off hour and had minimal wait, but I am sure they often have a line out the door. Food was made to order and they were very accommodating. Nice selection of coffee drinks and other beverages.
Cafe Sol was a stop recommended by Guess Where travels, and my friend had actually been there frequently and was eager to see their new location. They have parking that goes around the building, with seating inside and outside. Their menu covers a few chalk boards. The bread and meat of the sandwich was very good, although it was just a drop of dressing for creaminess. The decor was very bright and eclectic without becoming clutter. Everything was extremely clean, including the rest room. There is a free little library inside to check out or maybe move an old book on in life! The employees were all friendly and although they were starting to clean to close, did not force anyone out.
First time visit. Encountered friendly, helpful, counter service. Great options of various sandwiches and salads - appreciated the many vegetarian options. My salad was filled with fresh tasting veggies - tasty. Had a cucumber mint lemonade that was outstanding. The vibe is casual and funky. Grabbed some dynamite chocolate cookies on the way out that were homemade and super delicious!
So happy to visit this place in the new location! So much more seating both inside and outside available. BLaT and East Meets West will always be my favorite sandwiches from here. The Dip and BBBQ Salad are also among the list of favorites. The new blueberry muffin coffee is also incredible if you are a blueberry coffee fan.
Friendly staff. Cute relaxed ambiance. Stopped by on the way home from Foxwoods. Just a short distance to the best used book shopping in CT (shout out to Book Barn). Fantastic cold brew coffee and fantastic food. The egg sandwich was delicious and the green onion/goat cheese scone was the best scone I have ever had. Will definitely stop here again when we are in the area.
They've moved down the street! There's a lot more seating inside now. Maybe outside too? It was hard to tell on the rainy day we ate there. The menu is still the same. Food is still the same quality, but it feels like the prices have gone up. I would not recommend the Arnold Palmer drink. It tasted like nothing. Not enough lemonade?
Great spot to pick up some sandwiches for the beach! We found something for everyone, including vegan son. Fast friendly service and reasonable prices. The Reuben was delicious, east meets west got a rave review, as did the turkey burger. Good selection of cold drinks, too!
The ambiance was totally my vibe, and I'm here for the shaken espresso drinks! The menu is extensive and very in line with the whole theme of the place. We got a pastry with our coffee, which was delicious. The location is perfect for kids too -- it's right across from the kid's museum. I look forward to going back for a second visit!
After a hot day at the beach, we stopped by Cafe Sol for some coffee. It was super busy inside. They have a large menu, of smoothies, coffee, sandwiches, wraps and more. I just got an iced latte, but they surprised me by adding cold foam on top. They have some seating inside and outside, we didn't have a table outside where we sat, it's ok since we weren't eating. The coffee was delicious, they actually brew Ashlawn Farm coffee here. It's one of the best in the general area. The cold foam was refreshing and sweet! The food that the people were having outside, looked delicious. The lady who served us was very pleasant and friendly, you know when someone calls you "love" they're having a good day!
